Toshiba America Electronic Components, Inc., (TAEC) has added a new series of small, high luminous flux white LEDs with high luminous efficiency. The broad lineup reportedly ranges from high-efficient, high-output models to high-color rendering models. According to Toshiba, the LEDs can be used as light sources for a variety of lighting applications, including replacement lamps, architectural lighting, retail display, commercial/industrial, outdoor and residential lighting.
Toshiba’s new high-output white LEDs provide efficiency at 120 lm/W. They are housed in a very thin, 0.65 mm thick package, making them suitable for small equipment. They boast a long lifespan due to low thermal resistance. Toshiba says that their structure structure and wide directional characteristics make the LEDs appropriate for lighting large areas.
The LEDs have a 130 degree to 140 degree light pattern.
Models are available with color temperatures ranging from warm white (3000K) to a cool white (6500K). (This chromaticity range is compliant with ANSI C78.377)
The company says that its color rendering models are close to natural light
The Toshiba white high flux LEDs are available now. Budgetary pricing begins at $3.92, with volume discounts available.
