Hönle, a manufacturer of industrial UV curing systems, and Techsil, Hönle’s authorized distributor have launched a new UV-Meter. The UV-Meter measures intensity and dosage of UV and UV-LED curing units and systems.
Hönle insists that users can read the measured results at a glance on the system’s clear and well-organized display. Furthermore, the company says that the new compact design is convenient on the shop floor. An integrated USB port also enables the upload of the UV-Meter data to a PC or notebook. The USB port recharges the lithium batteries which boast a long service life.
Hönle UV-Meter covers wavelengths of 230 nm to 550 nm
Interchangeable sensors cover wavelengths from 230 nm to 550 nm – UVA, UVB, UVC and visible light which makes it suitable for various production processes. The system’s compact sensors measure 14mm high to fit into small spaces. Also, its two-channel measurement can record the measurements within different wavelength ranges at the same time. Additionally, the unit features automatic sensor recognition.
With measured data storage, the UV-Meter can record a test series of intensity and dosages as well as minimum and maximum average intensities. The integrated real-time clock ensures precisely timed sampling of measured results. The UV-Meter is suitable for applications including curing of adhesives, potting compounds coatings, and inks.
The system boasts accurate measurement that is traceable to PTB standards and reliable calibration with certificates. Also, having a single UV meter for all applications saves on testing equipment. Finally, the device helps ensure process reliability through the constant control of UV intensity.
