BoA to Deploy STG Aerospace saf-Tglo® blu Floor Path Marking System in Three Planes

STG Aerospace, an aircraft cabin lighting specialist, reports that the company has won its first contract in the Americas for its saf-Tglo® blu. Bolivian airline, Boliviana de Aviación (BoA), has purchased the firm’s novel, blue-glowing LED-based, photoluminescent floor path marking system for one of its Boeing 737-700s and two of its 737-300s aircraft.

Carlos Alba, BoA’s Avionics Engineer, commented, “As an existing customer of STG Aerospace, we have always been impressed by the proven operational performance of saf-Tglo® products, especially their robustness. With saf-Tglo® blu we can now seamlessly blend our brand identity with our cabin aesthetics due to its exclusive blue glow.”

BoA, which is the largest airline in Bolivia in both fleet size and passenger numbers, currently flies to 13 destinations in 5 countries. The airline serves as the flag carrier airline of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, and Bolvia’s government holds complete ownership of the airline.

BoA Purchase to be First Latin American saf-Tglo blu Deployment

“Latin America is a very important market for us,” said Dan Rice, STG Aerospace’s Americas Sales Director, “so we were particularly pleased that BoA saw the many benefits of saf-Tglo® blu, our latest research-driven photoluminescent product. It helps place us in a very strong position to promote our total cabin lighting system – photoluminescence and LED – throughout the region.”

STG Aerospace currently serves more than 50 customers in Latin America including airlines, MROs, and regional operators. To support the expanding Latin American MRO market, STG Aerospace has appointed a new Regional Sales Manager. The company anticipates additional orders for its saf-Tglo® blu photoluminescent floor path marking system, which the company says often fits better with cabin interiors and branding.
